There’s an art to being an artist.

The way we craft ideas that resonate.
The way we shoot to maximize success.
The way we edit to create believability.
The way we talk about our art.

During this full day, hands-on workshop, Brooke will guide you through her process of ideation, shooting, editing, and best business practices so you leave with a comprehensive knowledge of how to make and market meaningful fine art.

You'll learn how to:

  • Shoot for successful composites

  • Tell visual stories that resonate with audiences

  • Consistently come up with ideas

  • Cut and blend people and objects into images

  • Blend images using color, light, and shading

  • Color and lighting theory

  • Business planning for artists

  • Ways to market your work

  • Because Brooke’s techniques are so stylized, any level of photographer is welcome. We only ask that you have a basic knowledge of your camera and photo editing.

  • The cost gains you access to the full day workshop. Lunch is on your own.

  • While we recommend bringing a camera to shoot with, it is not required. You will be welcome to borrow Brooke’s camera on the day, though bringing your own SD memory card will help you to take the images home.

Other suggested (but not required) items:

    Laptop
    Tripod
    Versatile lens (24-70mm, for example)
    Notebook + pen

  • This a group workshop, so private 1-1 is not included. However, each participant will receive personalized guidance during our shooting time and every effort will be made to answer each question.

If you have questions after the workshop, Brooke will be available via email for follow-up instruction.

  • Yes! After Brooke does a couple photo demonstrations, everyone will have time to work with the model and craft their own concept.

  • While this workshop will focus on fine art, conceptual imagery, the techniques discussed transcend genre. From coming up with consistently more resonant ideas, to editing techniques that work across photography, this workshop will help you become more creative and attuned to your unique style.
